SÉRIES de TV

This is not a typical or expected post in a sewing blog, but to tell you the truth I do watch a lot of tv, especially when I am sewing or knitting or doing some other handcraft. I was never in my life able to sit in front of the tv doing nothing, so maybe that is how I started my crafts, really. Today it is the other way around, I have a tv in my sewing room, so it is always on. I am a huge fan of films and tv!

TV Shows from 2014 Fall Premiere Calendar have just started and here´s what I am going to be watching (these are only the shows that are still on):

Eu assisto um monte de tv, e os seriados estão estreando essas semanas, e aqui está minha listinha. Essa postagem aparentemente não tem nada a ver com costuras, mas na verdade tem sim: eu jamais consegui assistir tv sem fazer nada. Acho que minha paixão por trabalhos manuais vem dai. Entao aqui vao os seriados que vou acompanhar

The second season of Penny Dreadful hasn´t been announced yet, but I´ve just started to watch it, so this one is new to me. Elementary premieres in October    

I´ll have to wait for 2015 for Sherlock 
Sherlock só volta em 2015...

and I don´t know the premier date of True Detective season 2

não sei quando estreia a segunda temporada de True Detective 

BBC´s Wallander season 4 filming is scheduled to start in 2015, so I guess it s going to be a long wait for this one :((
O Wallander da BBC só vai começar a ser filmado em 2015, então vou ter de esperar um monte.

And the drama that everybody loves, the one I call "my Mexican Soap" :)))))) (the costumes in this show just make me flip)

Ah, e o drama que todos amamos, o que eu apelidei carinhosamente de "minha novelinha mexicana" (as roupas, gente, as roupas!!!!!!!!!!!)

RENDA & COURO

I get a lot of mileage out of my leather pencil skirt! :)))) This time, I wore it with this handmade cotton lace little jacket that I absolutely love. Again, I really like the details and richness of materials and textures that are somehow tuned down by the choice of more subdued colors.The whole outfit looks powerful and very feminine and very ladylike. What do you think? 

Minha saia lápis de couro é uma peça super coringa e eu a uso bastante mesmo! Esse look de hoje é bem feminino e ao mesmo tempo "poderoso". A blusa-casaqueto de renda de algodão feita à mão é simplesmente mara. Eu amo os detalhes dos diferentes materiais e texturas que ficam "discretos" por causa das cores neutras! O que vocês acham?

Eu-que-fiz a saia, o casaqueto é da BobStore, a carteirinha e os sapatos são da Brookfield Donna e os braceletes, um em cada braço, são da Swarovski.

VESTIDINHO de ORGANZA de ALGODÃO

Everyone who sews knows that feeling when you see some fabric and you just have to have it, even though you don´t know what to do with it yet or keep it stacked for years and years but never forget it...  This is exactly what happened to this cotton organza that I bought oh, maybe fifteen years ago ( and I honestly dont think this kind of fabric can be found anymore): it is the most beautiful fabric in the most beautiful flower print! I sewed this little airy dress to wear in the summer and it is just perfect because it is FRESH. And it is loose and unstructured so it doesn´t cling to any unwanted places, lol. I know it is just a t-shirt shaped piece, but I think the shape contrasts nicely with the delicate fabric. And it is always possible to add a belt to it too. I like it!  

As meninas e meninos que costuram sabem o que é ver um tecido e simplismente precisar dele, mesmo que não se saiba o que fazer com ele, rsrsrsrs. Eu comprei essa organza de algodão há uns quinze anos e ela ficou guardada, mas não esquecida. E eu sinceramente não acho que a gente encontre esse tipo de tecido hoje! Eu fiz esse vestido retão super fresco porque nosso verão está prometendo, né? Eu sei que ele não tem estrutura nenhuma, mas eu gosto do contraste do modelo reto com a delicadeza do tecido, e também o vestido é super fresquinho, não "pega" em lugar nenhum! E sempre dá para marcar a cintura com um cintinho, né? Adorei!  

Well, a denim jacket does the trick if you need to cover up :))) And a blue bag and very high wedge sandals and that´s it!

Uma jaquetinha jeans se precisar de uma proteçãozinha do vento, uma bolsa azul e sandálias anabelas bem altas e só!
