HALLOWEEN 2013 - FELIZ DIA das BRUXAS!!!

This year, I decided to go very traditional on my Halloween decoration. I used my The Nightmare Before Chirstmas figurines and built a spooky village around, with a graveyard and everything! 

Esse ano, minha decoração de Halloween consiste em abóboras e bonequinhos do filme The Nightmare Before Christmas. Fiz um vilarejo assombrado com cemitério! Eu adoro a ideia de colocar pequenos cenários dentro de vidros, então construi meu cemiteriozinho dentro de castiçais, com musguinho e uns raminhos secos.  

For some reason, I love the idea of little scenes inside glass bowls, so I put my gravestones and houses in these big glass candle holders and fish bowls, along with dried moss and twigs.    

There are tiny bats fluttering around the church and the school bellry.

I also used a lot of candles, some hurricane votives covered with a spooky forest design that look really cool when the candles are lit. And lots of pumpkins!

Lógico, um monte de abóboras! E vasos que enrolei em papel sulfite impresso com uma floresta assombrada...

RAPSODIA Verão 2014- Revista

I have this thing, which I think is a normal common thing, that I really really REALLY like some brands and then I like them every season and again...brands that make things that I just find beautiful, and they manage to make beautiful things again and again and again... So I wait for their new collections with huge expectations and then when the collections are out they wow me :))))))))))))))))) And then I simply just have to share what I like and I blog about it. Because this is a blog about sewing, but if you ever read the "about me" part, you know that this is a blog about everything from the clothes and accessories world that I love. And from the trips and food world too, lol. 

Rapsodia is one of these brands. Boy, do I love it!!! 

Eu tenho essa "coisa" de simplesmente amar algumas marcas e daí toda nova coleção é linda e eu amo e me surpreendo e adoro tipo "eu quero tuuuuuudo". E aí eu tenho de compartilhar e postar aqui no blog, porque apesar desse ser um blog de costura, é também um blog sobre tudinho que eu gosto dos universos de roupas e acessórios e comidinhas e viagens e...

BLUSA VINTAGE

I made this 50's- inspired blouse using this pattern from Burda Style March 2013. I loved it so much from the moment I saw it (here). Well, I have to be honest and admit I just copied the blouse. I loved their styling idea and have copied that too, but here is yet another way of wearing the blouse: with flats.

I used an off-white pure silk gazar and a vintage cotton lace that I found in an old notions store that was closing for good. I did not make the "pleats" around the neckline, I used one of the sewing machine's  decorative stiches. I L-O-V-E my sweet little blouse!  

Fiz essa blusinha vintage usando, ou melhor, copiando deste modelo da Burda Style (março 2013) que publiquei aqui. Adorei a blusa quando vi, adorei o look, que já copiei, lógico, mas aqui vai uma outra ideia mais arrumadinha: com sapatilhas.
Usei um gazar de seda pura off-white, uma rendinha de algodão antiga que resgatei de uma  loja de aviamentos antes de fechar, e não fiz as preguinhas das peças do peito. No lugar só usei um ponto decorativo da máquina de costura. A-M-E-I !!! 

I made to blouse and embelished the Levi´s jeans with Swarovski crystals (seen here and here before), Zara shopper, Renner flats and Tord Boontje pendants (Tord Boontje is one of my favorite designers).

I am a huge fan of J.Crew and I want all of these patterned sweaters!

BURDA STYLE de NOVEMBRO 2013

I am really excited about the November edition of BURDA STYLE. Many patterns are so interesting and a few made it to my "I-am-making-this" list! The only problem is that my projects list is far longer than the time I have to sew, lol!!
