DRAPE DRAPE I, II e III - OS MARAVILHOSOS LIVROS JAPONESES

Já mencionei aqui minhas revistas de moldes favoritas. Hoje o post é sobre os livros de moldes japoneses. São absolutamente fantásticos, as modelagens são ou extremamente simples ou extremamente complexas, meio arquitetônicas mesmo, meio peças de arte. Amoamoamo!!
Esse são os três livros DRAPE DRAPE de Hisako Sato. Quase todas as roupas são de jersey e têm esses drapeados maravilhosos, complexos, artísticos. Praticamente todos os modelos são cortados numa peça só, com uma costura principal geralmente nas costas !! Alguns modelos têm mangas e alguns são em algodão. E o tecido é sempre extremamente simples, as cores são quase ausentes, assim a modelagem sobressai de maneira impressionante. Arte!
Ah, os livros são em japonês mesmo - o primeiro volume foi publicado recentemente em inglês- mas isso não é problema porque os livros japoneses têm instruções em esquemas, não em texto!


I mentioned here my favorite patterns magazines, but this post is about the absolutely gorgeous Japanese sewing pattern books. I love them for their either extremely simple or extremely complex patterns.
These are the three DRAPE DRAPE books by Hisako Sato. The first book of the series was recently published in English. Of course the instructions in the Japanese books are in Japanese, but  they use drawings instead of text, so that´s not so bad.
Most of the clothes in these books are made of knit fabric, and amazingly enough most of the pieces  have only one sewing line at the back!
The complexity of the fabric turns and twists and the architectural aspect of the clothes make them look artistic to me. I love the choice of very simple fabrics and colors that are almost just black or grey, so that the way the clothes are built stands out like a work of art !! I find these clothes absolutely fantastic.

O estilo hippie é o meu favorito! Amo saias e vestidos longos, chiffons, sedas, cashemeres, couros... amo rasteirinhas com cristais e brilhos, essa vibe romântica e meio rebelde... Costurei essa saia longa há algum tempo e ela é maravilhosa! Infelizmente não dá  para ver direito na foto, mas o tecido é uma seda pura que tem umas listrinhas mais transparentes e uns fiozinhos de ouro na trama. O babado de baixo deve ter uns cinco metros de roda, mas como o tecido é fino e molenga, ela não fica armada, e o movimento é lindíssimo! Ela fica linda com uma camiseta branca ou preta, com uma camisa jeans ou com um tricô bem grossão ou pesadão. E fica linda também com couro, uma jaqueta preta justinha e botas pretas... um arraso!

I love everything bohemian! I love long flowy dresses and skirts, delicate fabrics and romantic details... I made this wonderful skirt with this absolutely gorgeous black pure silk fabric that has some sheer stripes and golden threads. Unfortunately the picture doesn´t do the fabric justice.The last layer is at least five meters "round" and as the fabric is fine and delicate you only realize the amount of fabric that was used when you see it moving. The skirt looks fantastic with a simple t-shirt, or a denin shirt, or with chunky knits. And it looks amazing with a fitted black leather jacket and boots!!
