TRICÔ LISTRADO

Here I am dreaming of cold places and looking forward to next holidays...So I put together an outfit that would work for a flight: mega comfy leggings and sweater and a warm wool parka. 
I knitted the sweater with a pure cotton yarn and I love the bit of color at the bottom of the piece with a pop of fuchsia! I also like the dark look of the outfit and the hint of color that will only come to life when taking the coat of.      

Friozinho lá fora, e eu aqui sonhado com as próximas férias! E já que é sonho, eu quero mais é um lugar FRIO, rsrsrsrs. Aí imaginei esse look para a viagem em si: leggings super confortáveis e um pull de listras. A parka quentinha é para o destino, hehehe!
Eu que tricotei o pull com a linha Bella da Pingouin. Adoro a cor só na parte de baixo, e acho super legal a listra pink! Acho bem bacana também que todo o look é escuro, e só d´para ver a cor quando se tira- ou abre- o casaco!

RENDA & COURO

I get a lot of mileage out of my leather pencil skirt! :)))) This time, I wore it with this handmade cotton lace little jacket that I absolutely love. Again, I really like the details and richness of materials and textures that are somehow tuned down by the choice of more subdued colors.The whole outfit looks powerful and very feminine and very ladylike. What do you think? 

Minha saia lápis de couro é uma peça super coringa e eu a uso bastante mesmo! Esse look de hoje é bem feminino e ao mesmo tempo "poderoso". A blusa-casaqueto de renda de algodão feita à mão é simplesmente mara. Eu amo os detalhes dos diferentes materiais e texturas que ficam "discretos" por causa das cores neutras! O que vocês acham?

BOB STORE Inverno 2014

One of my favorite brands is Bob Store: I love the style of the clothes, it is totally me, and the quality is excellent and they have beautiful accessories. Take a look at my wish-list from the latest season, winter 2014, and tell me if these clothes don´t look like they have been designed for me, lol!

JAQUETA BOMBER de BROCADO

Finally, my bomber jacket! I used Burda Style magazine February 2013 #125 pattern and chose an off-white with gold thread brocade because I love the idea of using unusual or rich fabrics for simple shapes and unexpected styles- in this case, a short sporty jacket that hits the waist. And following the same principle, mixing unconventional shapes and fabrics, I paired my chic little jacket with totally casual boyfriend jeans and a cowl neck t-shirt and accessorized the look with shine and the most amazing clutch, keeping the color palette very subdued. 

   
Minha jaquetinha bomber!!!! Taí, ó, prontinha! Eu usei o molde #125 da Burda Style de fevereiro de 2013 e um brocado super delicado. Adoro quando o tecido é completamente inesperado para a peça de roupa, no caso uma jaqueta esportiva. Ela é curtinha, o cós elástico fica praticamente na cintura. E para o look, a mesma ideia do contraste: a jaquetinha ficou bem "chique" por causa do tecido, e acho legal usá-la com um jeans super casual - no caso, um modelo boyfriend - e uma camisetinha de malha. Brilhos nos acessórios e uma clutch de parar o trânsito. Também achei melhor manter as cores super calmas e delicadas, ficou quase um off-white total. Voilá!

Mais SAIA de LINHO BORDADA!!!!!

Ok, I know this is the fourth post about the same skirt, but it´s that it took me soooo long to finhish it and I love my embroidered skirt soooooooo much that I am really gonna get a lot of mileage out of it! This is yet another way of wearing the skirt: with my green cotton and silk blend tunic ( I love the combination of a very bright green with the neutral linen color), BobStore shoes, Maria Bonita Extra bag and Vi bracelets by Swarovski. 

Minha saia de linho demorou tanto para ficar pronta e no final eu gostei tanto do resultado que agora vou usá-la até!!! Adoro a combinação da cor totalmente neutra da saia com o verde da batinha de seda verde bandeira que eu-que-fiz e a modelagem soltinha da mesma com a modelagem mais justinha na parte de cima da saia. Sapatos da BobStore, bolsinha da Maria Bonita Extra e pulseirinhas da Swarovski.

CHEMISIER BRANCO

Eventhough I spend 95% of my time in jeans, I do love all kinds of garments. When it comes to dresses, I am drawn to a very feminine style with a retro felling (usually 70's, but in this case a little bit earlier). I also love embelishing simple fabrics because I think the materials bring a lot of visual interest to uncomplicated patterns. It is a balance thing, an equation that makes sense to me: one simple thing (in this case, the fabric) plus another simple thing (the pattern)  plus something unexpected (the embroidery) equals something that is, at the very least, nice (of course I shoot for extraordinary,  lol).

So I made this dress using the most beautiful white shirt cotton and embroidered it with crystals (you can see a little bit of this process here). I used a pattern for a blouse from a vintage Burda magazine, a "Miss B" edition- does anyone know it?- and added a full skirt and belt and voilá, a shirt dress was born! 

Jeans é meu uniforme. Uso jeans quase que o tempo todo... outro dia uma amiga me perguntou se eu não uso vestidos e saias, rsrsrsr. Eu uuuuuso, mas muito raramente, e quando o faço, amo demais o estilo hippie, folk, anos 70, vestidos longos e ciganos... Também amo o estilo vintage, que é o caso aqui. 

Outra coisa que adoro é bordar e enfeitar materias "simples". Acho o efeito fantástico. Vocês sabem o quanto amo brilhos e detalhes e penduricalhos e franjas e cristais e bordados, mas para mim o equilíbrio está nessa equação: uma coisa simples mais outra coisa simples mais uma coisa inesperada dá uma coisa no mínimo interessante. Neste caso, os dois fatores simples são o tecido (um algodão de camisaria lindíssimo) e o molde (de uma revista antiga que achei num sebo) que era de uma blusinha e nada mais. Acrescentei a saia e o cintinho. E bordei o vestido inteirinho - dá para ver um pouquinho aqui - e meu chemisier estava prontinho. 

The dress is almost too naive, too childish, so I style it with big girl´s accessories. I think the dress looks nice with flats. And oh yes, I do love sparkle, so there you have it: sparkle in the shoes and in the statement necklace. To keep everything simple, a hand-woven straw clutch. Eu amei meu vestido, amei, mas reconheço que ele parece até mesmo meio infantil... Daí acho que acrescentar uns acessórios bem "adultos" deixa o look perfeito! Mais brilho, nas sapatilhas e no colarzão, e uma carteirinha de palha. O vestido também fica legal com uma jaqueta de couro preta, mas esse segundo look vou postar no blog aqui em breve...

OURO com OURO

Here I am again, drawn to textures and "architectural" lines...I love that there´s virtually no color in this look - very pale gold, very subdued blue, and black - and all the interest is in the very rich yet discret fabric textures and in the contrasting lines on the blouse, the clutch and the shoes! And I absolutely love wearing a statement necklace and a very long chain together.  

Eu adoro a combinação do monte de texturas deste look, das cores super calmas e discretas -um ourinho bem claro, preto e só um toquinho de azul na bolsa- e das linhas contrastantes que cortam a blusa, o sapato e a bolsinha: achei que ficou hiper interessante, deu uma "unidade arquitetônica" à roupa,rsrsrs! E eu também adoro a ideia de usar um maxi-colar e um outro colar de corrente bem comprido!
