 I fell in love with this Richards skirt the moment I saw it, and finally snatched it during the sales! I love it! 

Eu caí de amores por essa saia da Richards assim que a vi, e tive sorte de conseguir a minha na liquidação! A-M-E-I !!

I wore it with DIY my Burda vintage inspired silk gazar blouse with vintage cotton lace ( seen here and here), Zara flats and purse, and an armfull of Swarovski bracelets.    

Combinei com minha blusa de gazar de seda com rendinha de algodão antiga que eu fiz ( vista aqui e aqui), sapatilha e bolsa-carteira da Zara e muitos braceletes da Swarovski!

CASAQUINHO de OURO II

I made this golden sequins jacket some time ago (first seen here), and I really like it, and I wear it in many different ways and have lots of fun with it! Here it is paired with destroyed boyfriend jenas - which I love - a very sheer little embroidered chiffon top, navy blue high hells, a leather messenger bag and tons of Swarovski bracelets. I love jeans and wear them with everything and I love the contrast of textures, shine and "weight" of materials...  The little jacket just makes everything soooo beautiful! How do you like it?

  

Eu A-M-O o meu "casaquinho de ouro"! Ele deixa qualquer look lindinho que só (tem um post dele aqui). Como eu adoro jeans, eu o combinei com um boyfriend rasgado, uma blusinha de chiffon toda bordada, sandália azul marinho, bolsa de couro e MUITAS pulseiras... Eu adoro o contraste das texturas, brilhos e "peso" dos tecidos! E aí, gostaram?

Mais SAIA de LINHO BORDADA!!!!!

Ok, I know this is the fourth post about the same skirt, but it´s that it took me soooo long to finhish it and I love my embroidered skirt soooooooo much that I am really gonna get a lot of mileage out of it! This is yet another way of wearing the skirt: with my green cotton and silk blend tunic ( I love the combination of a very bright green with the neutral linen color), BobStore shoes, Maria Bonita Extra bag and Vi bracelets by Swarovski. 

Minha saia de linho demorou tanto para ficar pronta e no final eu gostei tanto do resultado que agora vou usá-la até!!! Adoro a combinação da cor totalmente neutra da saia com o verde da batinha de seda verde bandeira que eu-que-fiz e a modelagem soltinha da mesma com a modelagem mais justinha na parte de cima da saia. Sapatos da BobStore, bolsinha da Maria Bonita Extra e pulseirinhas da Swarovski.

TECIDOS MIRAMONTES e MINI-MINI PREVIEW da BURDA STYLE de Dezembro

Sewers of the world, is it just me or do we all suffer from the same I-have-way-more-fabric-than-I-will-ever-have-time-to-sew-everything-but-I-still-need-more-fabric disease??

Please tell me I am not alone on this, so I will fell less guilty, lol. So here there are still more fabrics from Miramontes Tecidos and some wanna -be projects from a tiny mini Burda December preview- which btw looks wonderful!!!! Check back tomorrow for a full review!

Pessoas arteiras e costureiras e criadeiras, sou euzinha sozinha que tenho toneladas de tecido, muito mais tecidos do que tempo para costurar tudo, ou esse é um mal que acomete a todos nós? Bom, mais tecidos e alguns projetos da listinha e uma mini mini preview da Burda Style de dezembro, que parece linda!!!!! Amanhã tem a revista quase que inteira, rsrsrsr...

Iridescent ombré silk musseline in indigo blue, emerald green and purple, that I think will be great for the dress above (from Burda Style Dec. 2013). I have mentioned this before, but dark, deep, saturated colors never look as they really are in my pictures:((( These two ombré fabrics- above and below- are anything but greyish and subdued as they look in the photographs.
Então, as cores saturadas e fortes nunca ficam bem nas fotos, não sei o por quê... esses tecidos, o acima e o abaixo, são de seda pura e simplesmente maravilhosos, meio changeants, transparentes e de cores bem fortes...O verde esmeralda, roxo e azulão acima ficaria lindo nesse vestido curto, e o meio bordô, azulão e roxo abaixo vai para o vestido longo hippie da Burda Style de agosto :))))))))))))))))))

BLUSINHA BRANCA com CRISTAIS

  

I made this blouse using pattern 106 from Burda 04/2013, but I placed the neckline pleats

(are those pleats, English-speaking people?) turning them out instead of in like in the original model. The fabric I used is a cotton silk blend that is very light, somewhat sheer and it has some sheen and is beautiful! Then I embroidered the blouse as seen HERE and a little bit here HERE. Now the funny thing is that some of the crystal clusters appear to be like really away from whatever line there were supposed to be in, but that´s just the effect of the extra fabric on the front of the blouse in the picture. No, I am not THAT blind, lol!  

I would of course wear jeans with that, wouldn´t I? I like how the colors are repeated in the checked ballet flats and the green suede of the blouse, and there you have it, a really colorful outfit that doesn´t look it, or a white blouse, blue jenas outfit that is actually full of colors. And tons of bracelets...

Fiz essa blusinha usando um algodão com seda levíssimo e seguindo o modelo 106 Burda Style 04/2013, mas fiz as preguinhas do decote para fora, e não para dentro como no modelo da revista. O tecido é maravilhoso, meio transparente e com um pouco de brilho, mas eu quis dar um toque e bordei com cristaizinhos, como mostrei AQUI (também dá para ver um pouquinho da blusa AQUI). Os cristais não estão em fila retinha, não, só parece assim na foto porque o tecido sobra na frente da blusa... e é engraçado porque alguns cristais parecem super fora de qualquer posição intencional, tipo como essa doidinha não viu que aquele montinho ali está TÃO deslocado, hehehe.  

Bom, e como meu negócio É jeans, taí o luquizinho blusa, jeans, sapatilha e bolsa! Adoro a repetição de cores na sapatilha xadrez e o verde da bolsa! Ah, e muiiiitas pulseiras coloridas...

CHOCOLATE QUENTE com COSTURAS

Finally, we had some "colder" weather here in Brazil and it was perfect for hot chocolate, yay, to be enjoyed in the traditional French way, from a bowl! And I had some time for sewing, so I tackled five different projects which are all still unfinished, and for some reason all in white and off-white... the little embroidered blouse was seen (kind of) here, and the other pieces will be posted shortly, stay tuned ;)

Iêba, tivemos um invernico friozico!!! Bom demais para tomar chocolate quente do jeitinho tradicional francês: beber de uma tigela de cerâmica. E tive tempo para costurar um pouco, daí comecei cinco coisas diferentes e ainda não acabei nenhuminha... e tudo em branco e off-white! Bom, a blusinha bordade eu mostrei um tiquinho aqui, e depois vou postá-la de novo e as outras peças também!

Ultimate Hot Chocolate recipe: 

Ingredients
4 cups of milk
1 vanilla bean
10 ounces best quality bittersweet chocolate, cut into small pieces
whipped cream and chocolate shavings for serving (optional)

Directions
Heat milk to scalding in a medium saucepan. Add vanilla, if desired. Let steep 10 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat; strain, and return to saucepan. Reheat milk; using a whisk, stir in chocolate until melted and milk is frothy. Serve immediately with a dollop of whipped cream garnished with chocolate shavings, if desired.


Receita do Chocolate Quente:
4 xícaras de leite
1 vagem de baunilha
300grs de chocolate meio amargo (da melhor qualidade que você possa encontrar) picado
chantilly e raspas de chocolate para servir (opcional)

ferva o leite e acrescente as sementes de baunilha e a vagem. Deixe descansar por 10 minutos, coe, remova a vagem de baunilha ( eu lavo a vagem, deixo secar super bem e depois guardo no pote de açucar! ). Reaqueça o leite batendo com um fouet e acrescente o chocolate até que esteja derretido e o leite espumante. Sirva imediatamente com uma colherada de chantilly e raspas de chocolate.

Not so much sewing happening around here, but that doesn´t prevent me from buying more fabric! Three printed viscose fabrics above and lots of cottons below. 

Bom, tempo para costurar eu não tenho tido, mas tempinho para comprar mais tecidos, sim! Três viscoses estampadas acima e um monte de algodões abaixo...
